The drive started out pretty boring.
The stop we took at Wall Drug in South Dakota was a lot of fun. The small little town peaked all of our intrests.
Dad was in heavan when we stopped off at the Corn Palace. The entire outside and artwork inside was made of corn. Dad got a picture if with Cornelius the Corn Cobb and of course had to order corn on the cobb.
We all got back into the car and drove some more until we arrived in Minnasota. We were in for a great surprise.
As we got closer to Minneapolis we noticed some strange looking clounds. As we drove the rain started coming down. It was the hardest any of us have ever seen it rain. The weather was horedous. Evan sat in the back seat worried and dad told us all that we needed to get our shoes on just in case.
The sky got extremely dark. It was 7 o' clock in Minneapolis and it looked like it was 11.
We wondered around looking for our hotel which was a task in itself concidering the rain was so hard that even with the winshields on full blast we were unable to see the road.
We arrived at our hotel, grabbed just whatever was necessary and high-tailed it inside to wait out the storm then get our suit cases.
We are taking our trip but definatly not missing the adventure.
